Description
This piece began in the class Structures and Systems, and was completed in Final Studio. The project’s objective was to demonstrate the breakdown of form. Using an image of a structure, create a magazine cover using dots, lines and planes. I chose a architecturally detailed building in Boston. All forms of design are built based on simple structures. The articles on the covers were created to compliment the image’s form, and to reinforce the idea of building from simple forms to create complex systems. The logomark has remained the same and I chose Helvetica Neue for the reoccurring subtitle because of the simplicity of it’s form.
